Re: 200/400 front suspension components.
Thanks for the responses chaps, they have been most useful. Both the "front" and "rear" subframes, both tie bars and steering rack have been replaced with items from a donor vehicle, as have the knuckle, lower arm, hub, driveshaft, strut, damper, spring and top mount on the passe...

Re: Honda 1.6SOHC Catalyst - engine hesitates and runs rough
I've got the same engine on an autobox, and I've noticed that it sometimes hesitates (nearly stalls) when you knock it into neutral at traffic lights. The idle speed is also quite high when cold. It seems to drive okay and rev freely, and I'm getting resonable MPG. When I bought the car, it was evid...

Re: will MGZR seats fit a 216 Cabbie?
On a related note, theres a W-plate Rover 45 saloon just turned up in my local wreckers, complete with rather fetching black leather. What are the chances of it fitting in my 1992 400 Saloon?
Thanks
David

Re: 200/400 front suspension components.
The only nightfire doors in the yard were on a the 2-door hatch 200 I'm afraid, sorry. Anyway, the subframe. We changed it today, and I think the car is, by and large, back on its feet :) The only issue is, the front passenger side wheel sits about 35 mm further to the rear the than the drivers side...

Re: Help finding parts if poss?!!!
Oh no!
I've got a spare front crossmember you can have for nothing, and I'm doing a trip to the wreckers tomorrow it just so happens (I've bent my 400 too!). Where are you based?

Re: 200/400 front suspension components.
^ None of them fit the criteria I'm afraid, sorry. Thanks for the responses anyway chaps, I've booked friday off to do the subframe, I'll update you when its done. Think I'll get the tracking done as well while I'm at it. On the subject of nightfire red doors though, to what extent to they interchan...

200/400 front suspension components.
I lent my 416 to a "mate" who decided to use a high kerb as a brake. :cursing :headbanging Wheel and tyre were totalled, Front N/S Control arm and knuckle were both bent, as is the (rearmost) subframe. In my local wreckers, there is a chioce of R8's. My car is a 1992 (pre facelift, K reg) ...

Re: Tow bar interchangeability question
^ I'd be interested in that, as I'm more confident that it'll fit properly.
If you do manage to get it off, Let me know how much you want for it and when I can collect it.
Regards
Dave

Re: Tow bar interchangeability question
Fair do's. I remember fitting a towbar to my old peugeot 205, some of the bracketry was missing so I knocked up some more out of angle iron in a tea break! I only ever towed a small box trailer with it anyway. As for the Rover item, the HH-R's boot floor looked similar to my R8's but I suppose there...

Tow bar interchangeability question
I have a 1992 pre facelift 416i saloon (R8 shape)
A later HH-R shape 400 series saloon (not hatchback) has turned up in my local wreckers and it has a tow bar fitted.
Will it fit my car?
Thanks in advance
Dave
