Rover 200 & 400 Owners Club

Hi All,

I’m not really new here, I joined in 2007. Just had a long break after my 214 SLi blew up in Portsmouth a few miles into my journey home to Plymouth. That was great car, ferrying four large sailors plus baggage along the south coast every week for a year. So I always had my eye open for another one and now I’ve bagged a 220 GTI Turbo. To say it needs a bit of work is an understatement. Engine rebuild starts next week then I’ll need a plan for the rest of it. The aim is to have it back on the road by the end of 2019. I don’t think there can be too many of these left so i’m Sure it’ll be worth it.

Please feel free to offer me first refusal on any parts original to the turbo models

It would be great so see some pics of your GTi Turbo if you would like to post some on here.

Regarding parts, post a list in the 'Wanted' section and keep it updated as you find stuff........we will all be glad to help if we can.

Thanks John. I joined right at the start. I think my paid membership was number 6 iirc. Good to be back. I’m no expert or font of all R8 knowledge but I love these cars.
