I saw a bright yellow Rover 45 on King Street, Dudley at about 3.20pm today. Does anyone know of any other 45's in Trophy yellow, or is this the only one?

I just saw this again parked up. Its a 02 reg and definitely a 45 not a ZS. Rover 15in alloys, Black side rubbing strips and sill finishers, chrome bumper inserts, door handles and grill, i think it even had wood trim on the interior. I doubt its a respray as the paint inside the rear wheel arch was yellow too.

It could be a ZS conversion back to a Rover 45 of course. It could also be a one-off promotional paint job. Large manufacturing or sales companies (including Rover themselves) sometimes do this and they have a car sprayed at the factory in a colour or colour scheme that reflects their brand or new product being launched, often for a large event or series of events that include press coverage. They add decals afterwards. When they're done, the decals are removed and the uniquely-coloured car(s) get sold off cheap - employees often get first refusal.
