So this is the 214sei I purchased from this very forum just before Christmas.
The PO was amazing and was very helpful and accomdating, the only request she had was that I collected ASAP as she had a new car coming this week (we I write this)
She has owned this from brand new and it has always been garaged and always serviced by the same garage - Service book is full of stamps.

I arranged for a company to collect and this is the picture sent to me on the 23rd all loaded. To be delivered from Surrey to my House near Wakefield (West Yorkshire)
To be delivered on the 24th.

And then when arrived on the 24th - Merry Christmas to me !! and yes it was chucking it down.Great service.

I find it weird buying cars now, years ago you wouldnt have dreamt of buying a car so far away let alone unseen.I remember buying an Anglia Estate in Derby from an advert was I was 20ish and I felt brave then. Still went to view first before collecting it a week later !!

So what do we have, I knew the head gasket was gone, the PO said that due to ULEZ and E10 she felt it was the time to move it on.
Ive not even tired starting it yet, its booked in with my friendly Rover garage in the New Year so will know more then. For now have some pics.

All the wood in the car is awesome condition and shows its always been undercover

Headlining is prefect and bonus sunroof - didnt realise it had one

Its had a small nudge at the rear

So thats it really, very happy with it. When the head gasket is done, ill get the bumpers repainted and the drivers side front wing.
The wheels could do with a refurb but other than that its a super clean car.
Ill keep this updated as we go along..

That’s lovely. Even has the proper mats. When I first passed my test I really wanted an Sei, but I couldn’t afford one 😭

That'll come up nicely!
KPJ is a very Surrey mark - as seen on at least one class of London Country buses!
(LCBS head office was in Reigate.)

Looks like a solid car, especially inside.

What's the diagnosis on hgf? Those earlier 1400 k series arent so known for it, could just be lack of use and condensation if its just a little mayo on the oil cap...

Can't get the oil cap off.. Dip stick is all mayo and white smoke out the back after short while. Oil evident in header tank so yep pretty sure its gone.. Will know more next week when at the garage..

This one's got the plastic inlet manifold, so I expect it's the later damp liner engine.

Looks a sound project. An SEi is worth it for those seats alone.

Looks a great car and I bet you can’t wait to get out in it once the hg is sorted. Seems well maintained so only a few other minor jobs and a bit of body work to make it a show car😊

Yorkshire Rider had a handful of the KPJ registered Atlanteans in Leeds in the 1990s - remember them well!
