Hi R peeps.
Never really thought about it before, but is it normal for mi k engine temp to never rise above half on the gauge - or is my car just really cool, maaaaan. :cool

Don’t think the el fan has ever kicked in… but holds its water well, never blown gasket, and runs perfect - and I’ve done bout 10k of sympathetic thrashing. Does warm up nice and quick - prob caus aluminium. I’ve had engine in bits for other reasons, and is as new internally - with near 60k on it.

Need I investigate do you think? Or don’t fix wat aint brocken???
Cheers…

this seems like mine aswell never goes over half, even with a possible blown head gasket *laughs*

Its normal for the temp to get rapidly to the middle then sit there. The fan should only really come on in standing traffic, and should be on by the time the gauge is at 3/4's (usually just above 1/2). Otherwise the temp should stay at the middle no matter what you do.

I've never before heard a K series owner complain about the gauge staying in the BOTTOM half!
