"Barn find" 200 Vi

Hi all.
Some of you may know of this car already but I thought I'd share it here.
I recently bought a low milage 200 Vi that has been garaged for some nineteen years.
I drove from Lancashire to Paington with my car trailer, freed the brakes, pumped the tyres and loaded the Vi and was back in Lancaster some 600 miles and fourteen hours after I originaly set off.
The car has only covered 13,000 miles and is in amazing condition.
I have just had the belts replaced and a full service carried out by David Allkins. I was very excited to finally start the car as I certainly didn't want to try before the recommissioning work but I was disappointed to find the fuel pump had siezed!
I've now fitted a new pump and tonight should be it's first start years - fingers crossed!
