Welcome to our friendly club LG. You've come to the right place then. Lots of help and enthusiasm here to support you in your ambitions. Would be good to see a picture of your car and we look forward to chatting with you on here. Good luck with the Cabby. Cheers, Duncan.

Your car seems rather late for a D16A8 engine, that is the earlier non-cat DOHC engine that makes a lot of power for sub 1600cc The book figure was 130 BHP 122 is with a cat fitted. It's important to establish the build order because there are a number of differences.

Yes you are right. But it is a cat fitted with 122 HP. And yes, I replaced the Engine with the same DOHC Engine from an accident donor car. Because my engine burned off.
Luckily we could find a cheap accident one with a good motor.

I would get the ECU as well if possible, it may have a different ign' advance curve and fuel map. The two heads differ in regards to the cams. The Honda engine workshop manual refers to this.

Ohhhh. This advice is very nice. I had this feeling when I saved the ECU, that it could be only work perfectly when it has its original ECU.

My question now is, if i install the original ECU does it have any effect to the key fob alarm system? Which is by the way very poor. I have to stand 30cm - 1m from the car to open and close the car by the remote. From 2m - 10m it is impossible to open/close the car. Batteries are new and I soldered new smd switches and a new quartz. No improvement. Unfortunately I have only one set of doorkey and fob.

Proximity isn't really a disadvantage if you think about it.

Do a search there are experts around who can re-programme fobs and the ECU I expect.
