Ended up being a bit of a nightmare, the rear speakers were actually an inch to small for the holes.
I couldn't be bothered to put it all back and get bigger speakers so I made plywood adapters.
Well pleased with the end result I got an alpine head unit which can light up orange but sound quality with the new speakers is fantastic

Wished I'd seen that first, as I ended up buying slightly smaller speakers but as I'd actually removed the steel parcel shelf support I made some adapters out of decent quality plywood
