All the work that was needed to be done was done but not the stuff that wasn't necessary.

All this and a local welder and MOT station!

My car does feel a whole lot better with a new set of engine mounts and a significant number of suspension bushes changed. I've stayed OE expect for the front suspension tie-rod bushes, where I've gone for powerflex 'purple' bushes and the ARB bushes as I'd got the wrong sizes . The ride is more settled and a lot quieter.

Changing the gearlinkage bushes has tightened-up the shift nicely too. Just felt the old knuckle joint and it's remarkably tight - I was expecting it to have a lot of play...

With a cambelt change we should be good for another 5 years, if not 25

Sounds about right for the Chapel-O-Dist, seen many a car worked on over the years.

Never one to shy away from a big build, we were recently contacted via our google maps advert by a guy in Tameside who had a megaproject he has been trying to sort for 2 decades.

A 1963 Rover p4 110 is coming in for a full body and engine restoration

Hoping to get it back to usable classic status and looking like it used to (pic not his car)


We have allocated just shy of a year to complete this build so slots for r8 work may have to take a back seat for a short term unless its nothing major.

Not the first 63 I’ve worked on, and tbh there are more parts suppliers than there are for r8’s!!
