Hi Paul
Its british racing green no damage on paint work as much as i can remember, just got a few mechanical issues from being garaged for ten years, hoping to save it but not got a massive budget and those new injectors are putting me off to be honest.
If as the other poster says they can be reconditioned that would be better for both me and my mum.
Ill go and get some pictures of it tomorrow when my schedule allows and post on here .

The diagnosis of 4 failed injectors sounds a bit iffy to me. I would have thought the only way an EFI engine can flood is if when there is no spark to ignite the fuel.
If your car ran ok when it was parked up, why would the injectors all just fail when you try to fire it up several years later?
Have the garage checked all the electrical basics? e.g Earth points, ignition coil, dizzy cap & rotor, HT leads - All the above will have corrosion and could stop the car from running.
The Rover MPI setup is simple in operation and normally reliable in service. The ECU has no limp mode, when a sensor fails it just uses a preset value to keep the engine running. I think the only exception is the crank sensor - without this the car wont start.
From my experience of getting three long disused Rovers back on the road, not one had injector problems.

I’ve done a guide on many of my builds for doing the injectors, I just post so many times I can’t find them atm. I’d put more money towards the fuel pump sucking up old fuel than an injector clog anyway. The holes are massive.

The original poster hasn't been around since the end of November, I hope he hasn't scrapped it!
It's a very bad idea taking one of these cars to anybody who isn't familiar with them and that includes Honda garages, but I won't derail the thread.

Hi guys thanks for the interest, im really busy at moment sorting some houses out but i would really like to get this car back on the road to at least work out if i want to keep it plus ive never driven it for a decent amount of time.
Could anyone on here recommend any mobile mechanics to come out to hebden bridge and have a look at it as the garage where it is at the moment are just saying ti needs the injectors and no news as i put a stop on all future work until i got some advice off here.
Im a bit stuck to be honest any help apprciated
To date it’s had new spark plugs and an oil change, needs a bit of welding on the back wheel arches apparently....
