Re: Rear Subframe Replacement
Many thanx guys! I managed to get the steering rack out (needed to take of a track rod end on one side). I thought rest is going to be easy...but how the **** do you take off the rear engine/tranny mount on a 216 GTI? The one that comes attached to the subframe? Im seriously without ideas as some bo...

Re: Rear Subframe Replacement
crepello many thanx for this - unfortunatelly, I started disasembling it before I got the chance to read this... Why unfortunatelly? Well, I disconected the steering column from the rack in the footwell, but then found out, I took out the upper part of the joint-ball aseembly instead of the bottom o...

Re: 216 TC AC removal and radiator replacement
Many thanx for that! The reason I would like to know how the wiring goes is the fact AC uses quite a lot of wires + a separate relay/fuse box. Removing those would clean up the bay quite a bit!

216 TC AC removal and radiator replacement
Hello, I decided to start working on my 216 GTI thats been parked down by the road for some time now. Plan was to take care of all the rust and do a major service. I also decided to completely remove the AC because I rarely need it and I meant to have this Rover as a fun car...now, the questions reg...

Thnx for replies guys! Tegiwa unfortunatelly, wasnt much of a good use (terrible email communication) so Im left with further searching - so far, the idea of having a stock clutch and a lighter flywheel sounds as a very good (and fairly cheap) one - any other ideas where I could get uprated clutch (...

Re: 216 GTI DOHC TC - stock VS upgraded questions
Geo - didnt thank you yet for the link - thnx! This a straight bolt on fit I presume? The only problem I see now is high postage - they want 300 USD for shipping to Slovenia. Plus, theres VAT and custom fee. I was looking at this: http://www.tegiwaimports.com/f1-racing-stage-1-clutch-kit-honda-d-ser...

Re: 216 GTI DOHC TC - stock VS upgraded questions
Due to low mileage I started to suspect the cable myself. Will check it. Took it for a drive yesterday and im very pleasantly surprised. I did notice though, that I have the cat version with 122 hp :/ Can anyone tell if I can decat it with no fueling or ECU problems? I have read a lot about it but c...
