After 20k miles I have decided to change mine as was wondering whether to try Rimmers or something from eBay?

NGK BCPR6E-11 (NGK stock code 3132). Pre-gapped copper plug. Pretty much the de facto standard and most if not all garages fit NGK for fewer customer returns.Mr Teddy Bear wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 4:51 pm Any recommendation that is current?

NGK do a premium Iridium plug, also pre-gapped - BCPR6EIX-11 (stock code 4919).
Iridium of course will suffer from limited mileage / lifetime compared to copper, but if you're changing them every few years this won't effect you.
You should also remember I'm the "nutter" (for want of a better description) who fitted Denso Iridium IQ20 plugs to his 216. Past their best after 20K miles, and don't really provide earth-shattering results on a 216, although I'm probably at peak economy and performance as a result of fitting them. Just keep telling yourself that when the invoice for your order comes through...!

Re: D16Z2 Spark Plug
Thanks John I think I have Champion as recommended by Haynes fitted at the moment. The garage in Cheltenham who worked on the car for the gentleman who owned her before me had the wrong plugs fitted, so the engine noticeably misfired under load.

Re: D16Z2 Spark Plug
Those Champion plugs were ready to come out, after 20,000 miles noticeable improvement in cold starting and pulling under load from cold with NGK's fitted imo.

Re: D16Z2 Spark Plug
Yep, they're just a very high quality, very compatible plug, which is what everyone wants (for a hassle-free, simpler life).
Remember: Damp starting problems = new rotor arm and cap.
Flat spots during acceleration = Terraclean.

Re: D16Z2 Spark Plug
I bought several sets of these as stock recently after taking out some Iridium plugs which I did not like the look of in a replacement engine
Cheap as chips these and NGK which I have never had issue with
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/385538731060 Try pinging an off in for all three sets left. I did.
