Hi Everyone!
Just found this forum after i've just bought my latest 200. It's a 1995 214 SLi with it's fair share of faults, but is in excellent shape bodywork wise!
I've been interested in R8's since i was very young, my Dad had 3 of them in a row collectively doing over 250,000 miles in the space of 10 years and I've wanted one ever since!
In my spare time I'm restoring a 1956 Rover P4 which has been off the road since 1972 and is in need of total restoration, and I'm also a volunteer at a Preserved railway where I'm part owner of a couple of Diesel Locos. So as you can see, my interest's revolve around engines!!!
I look forward to speaking to you all soon!

Hello mate - which part of the country are you in?

Hi and welcome.
There are a few train nuts around here too I believe, and my day job is making rail!

I used to work next door the base of the Deltic Preservation Society.
Even converted E_T_V into the railway industry.

*laughs*, Glad to see there's more than one railway enthusiast on here!
Problem with railways is the whole anorak and notebook image that goes with it. I'm happy to say I've never stood on a platform taking number down, and I never intend to! Well, unless having a few beers in the station pub on a sunny day counts??
My interest comes from the mechanical side of them and of course the noise of 200 odd litre diesel engines being worked hard!!
I live in Radcliffe at the moment, just next to Bury. I volunteer at the East Lancs Railway diesel department, so if anyone wants to come and have a look round just let me know!
