Thank you Paul, Duncan, Nigel and all others I managed to catch a word with at the meeting. Although 90% of it went straight over my head it was very nice to meet some other owners and I am very much looking forward to attening some more exciting events in the future!
(It was Jack by the way, and don't worry! I will have already forgotten the names of pretty much everyone I met already ^^')

Why thank you! I presume you had an eye on it when it was for sale on Auto Trader?crepello wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 1:17 pm I'm pleased this one went to an enthusiast. Other than my being a bit tall for the sunroof, and the asking price a bit ambitious, I'd have made the trip to Plymouth for it!
You'll find it being poverty spec is no barrier to becoming besotted. Mine, identical minus sunroof, plus rust and lunar mileage continues to defy 'common sense'!
I actually saw it on eBay, with half and hour left on the auction and only went and won it at £505 *laughs*, although it didn't meet the reserve but I did negotiate a price with the owner in the end, considerably less then the advertised price on AutoTrader.
It was definately a trip. It took me roughly 17 hours in total to get to Plymouth and back but it was worth it, she's a right gem (in my eyes anyway) and I love her to bits.
