Regional meet

Post by Nigel B »

When the lockdown restrictions are lifted or are considerably less restricted, i am thinking about organising a gathering somewhere in the Midlands. This is open to all of us however I know that this would be impractical for many due to distance. (perhaps you could arrange something in your own locality)

There is no other reason other than so many events have been cancelled so far plus an afternoon or evening with a pint and a meal and a few Rovers might help lift the spirits.
So to all who would be interested?

Sounds like an interesting plan, Nigel.

If pubs and indoor venues are a no-no all summer, maybe try a country park to park up in, with a handy chippy or pizza takeaway nearby?

How about I raise the stakes.
Come to RR, we have a reasonable size car park and I can get some more eka codes issued.
We are also out in the country and I can arrange for a nice little round trip as a post meet cruise.

Negatives, oop north..*laughs*

It's the new 'Carfest North' and 'Carefest South' :laughing2

As Nigel's suggested it and 'coz he's such a nice fella, perhaps we should call it 'Carefest' ?

I would be interested in meeting at Rover Revival as it would -

a) - give the car, and us as owners, a spin out after the lifting of the lockdown
b) - an opportunity to see the facilities of Rover Revival
c) - an opportunity to meet other Rover addicts

As a resident in the north I find this a very attractive proposition. Forget the catering; we could all bring our own picnic hampers. Let’s look at it as a treat on the horizon!

Regards,

John and Eileen (heading over from North Wales.)
