Rover 200 & 400 Owners Club

anybody else find it strange that one of rovers biggest sellers and probably the model that kept them going as a company in ninetys,a car equal if not superior to escort/astra even motor gave it good rating against golf mk2 gti/216gtitc, that none of the matchbox/corgi etc ever produced a model? the p4/p5/p6/sd1/800/metro/75 all got models ive only ever seen some super rare pewter rover216gti 3dr and rover 216gsi 5dr probably produced to sit in dealerships,google images still shows them if u google .ive never even found honda ballade models (similar car) i had a go at carving one in wood but surely a 3d print could be made any takers?

Rover France had some commemorative pewter models made and you see them listed on eBay every so often. 216GTi, 216GSi and 416GTi. They're about 2.5-3 inches long and mounted on an oval wooden plinth.

The R8 was conspicuous in its quality and success. Ergo, it's sort of been "airbrushed" from history.

Plenty of also-ran car models available - pretty much everything you can think of, but not the R8.

So that is why i can not find 216’s for my model railway!
