Re: Hello from Dumfries
Good afternoon,
yes it does, when I joined the forum and was doing some research, I came across the one where you posted about the purchase, for the life of me I can't find it now!
Comment was made to the ABS, that's my immediate area of concern having just bought it.
This is the only forum I've joined so still learning my way around.
If you could please contact me that would be great, again unsure about emails or mobiles!
Regards

Re: Hello from Dumfries
That'll be be the Honda ALB2 system.
There's good and bad news about that system....
The good news is that if the warning light is on, you can extinguish it by pulling the connectors out of the ECU in the boot.
The bad news is that currently there's no economic way of repairing it, although we are trying to find one.

Re: Hello from Dumfries
That was my fear.
When I bought the car I test drove it, but you don't know all about it until you get back home with the books and read up on it! The light should go out after starting, as you well know.
My first hopeful thought was that a bulb might have blown, after taking the dash out, (the ECU would have been easier) a fiddly process, there was no bulb, fortunately I had a spare from my Subaru, put it in and it glowed!
Upon starting it went out, travelled a few hundred yards and it came on, switched off, restarted, same again a short distance and back on.
I'm in touch with the garage I bought it from, I'll see where that takes me.
Regards
