Ceramic Paint coating, does it make a difference?

When I bought the car from Phil the paintwork was very, very good, but I want to try and keep it that way so....

Today I had the 216 GSi given a Professional decontamination and paintwork treatment with a 'Matrix' Ceramic coating that comes with a guarantee. There are others available, but this was available locally to me from a company with a very good reputation.

Now they said the coating they used was only for paintwork, so I opted to buy a 'Cerakote' Trim Kit https://www.cerakote.co.uk/shop/cerakot ... gtkit1004/ which they were happy to apply for me inclusive of the paintwork treatment cost.

They were very happy with the ease of application and outcome of the Cerakote as they haven't seen it before and are keen to see if it lives up to it's '200 wash safe' claim (as am I) so watch this thread for future updates :angel

So how does the car look, well it's one shiny 216 under their lights

£170 and it makes keeping the car clean oh so easy, so worth every penny to me.
