Rust in Turrets

I have rust in the vertical part of one of the turrets of my 98 coupe.
Is rust in the vertical part of the turret normal? Are there repair panels available, or if not,
is there a template or recommended area/size for this to be?

Some rust others don't if you get a picture I can send you section to weld in if needed .

Thanks for replies. Garage has said it will need doing for MOT. I was looking for guidance for my welder. Still learning how to use Forum, so hopefully this works!

Of I was doing that repair I would take out shocker and spring and plate in the turret , weld from the inside then weld the two holes from outside and grind flush and fill .
