Removing doorpanels

Post by Concerto »

How do I remove the interior door panels on a 216 HB? I've gotten some screws loose but when I tried to get the panel off I just tore it near the venthole that's under the mirror :( Anyone got a guide or something that clearly shows me how to get the door panel of?

I have a Concerto but I'm looking into the possibility of getting Rover 216 door panels (if I can find electric ones, haha) because they look heaps better.

if there the same as the rover ones all you need to do is unscrew all the screws and pull the card away starting at the bottom. when its pulled to about a 20 degree angle push up a little. you need to do this because the window rubber is hooked over metal work. it makes things easyer if you remove the mirror trim first.

Hi,
I'm attempting to remove the driver door panel on 1995 216 bit after removing everything there seems to still be a connection at the top of the handgrab. I've removed the small screw but there is a yellow plastic clip that doesn't want to move. Any ideas please.
Cheers

Have you got one of those v-shaped tools to but being it and pry in out?

I think it'll just be a 'pull out' one but you don't want to pull too hard!

I think its the large screw that goes through the top of the handle is what he is on about as that is the only clip on the door that i am aware of as being yellow.

You need a large phillips in the top of the handle.

Thanks.
Yes discovered the large screw on the second attempt which was buried quite deep and dirty. Came off easily after that.
Cheers
