Has the pump lost its ability to generate pressure? Is there a blockage anywhere in the system? Has something gone mechanically stiff? I would suggest putting the front end of the car up on axle stands and turning it lock-to-lock with the engine off first - does it move easily and smoothly? Then do ...

There is a VIN stamp on the yellow car, so we can assume there's one on the red car too.

Both cars were pre-series prototypes but were not road-registered, only being put to 'internal use'.

The whereabouts of the red car are a mystery. It is believed to have been purchased by Stadco, a pressings supplier to Rover Group, and many other companies.
