Re: Cabriolet boot inaccessible

You are halfway there with the seat base out!
If you unbolt the middle bracket that holds the rear seat backs, you can move one side enough to get you arm in and pull a seat realease. With both seat backs out the way you should be able to squeeze through the gap and open the boot.

Re: Rover 214 Stepper Motor

How many club members need one of these stepper motors? Is it worth me sorting out a few units to bring along to a show this summer?

In reply to an earlier post with a photo of a stepper motor, yes that looks very familiar

Thanks.
£40 for a known working one, I have 3 of these. I also have a few more either on a TB, in its alloy housing and one bare.

Re: Rover 214 Stepper Motor

Hello all, Following diagnosis from two separate mechanics I need a new stepper motor (air intake control valve) for my 1992 Rover 214, but as the car is the early SPI 16v K series engine it is proving very difficult to find one… I have tried rimmer bros, Xpart, ebay, all the usual places but they ...

I have just broke a low mileage 416 saloon with front end damage so I have everything from the rear end.

Re: Boot lid required!

I work at a small mg rover specialist, I can supply and fit a good used tailgate for your 400. If we dont have one the same colour, we can also paint. My works is located in Cradley heath, about 10 miles from you.
I can send a PM with my number and the unit address if you want.

Re: 420GSI Turbo MKC101960 ECU

Have you checked the slam panel earths? I think there is a black thin gauge wire going to the ECU, a break or corrosion on this and the engine won't run.

Re: Crankshaft Pulley Removal

I have only done two d16 cambelt changes and both were a pain. The first was on my own car, lockup tool broke a chunk off the pulley as the nut was so tight, ended up removing the starter motor and locking on the flywheel. The second was HHR Civic, locked at the flywheel and needed a scaffold pole t...
