Re: Petrol pipe/hose line
Thanks for that. It might be more obvious now I know where to look at in the manual. Not sure what the life span is on these parts. The fuel tank was replaced 16 years ago but the rest of the fuel lines are 35 years old. What I can see looks ok but I would like to get it all replaced and checked out...

Petrol pipe/hose line
Am I right in assuming that on a 91 Rover 416 with a 1600 Honda engine that the only piece of rubber hose is the hose that goes from the fuel filter to the injector block. As far as I can see visually and from the parts catalogues this is the only rubber part.
Am I correct?

Re: Rover 416 GTI Auto - Restoring an old friend
Thanks for the positive comments. Probably saw your coupe there without realising it.
It certainly is a labour of love. But one I wouldn't be without.
I'm hoping that most of the future work will now be about enhancing it further.
Lots of plans for the work just fitting it around family life.

Classic Car Show at Haynes Museum Somerset 6th September 2026
Anyone interested in going to this event at the Haynes Museum in Sparkford. A club stand is £100 for 5 vehicles (2 passengers per vehicle). Visiting the museum is a further £5 per person. A bit expensive but I could make enquires about a club stand if there is a good response https://www.johnhaynesc...

Re: Rover 416 GTI Auto - Restoring an old friend
An amazing day at POL on Saturday. 370 mile round trip with no issues. Managed around 43 mpg on the way up, which is amazing for a 34 year old car with auto transmission. Haven’t topped up to see what it did on the return journey. Was lovely to have a steering wheel that was straight after having th...

Door Membrane Adhesive
I am trying to replace the plastic membrane on the rear door of my 91 416 after replacing the electric window mechanism. Having accidentally thrown the original membrane away, whilst trying to keep the garage tidy :laughing , I have made a few prototypes and am now in a position to purchase some sli...
