Re: 218sld launch date
the date from 09-91 is generic release dates given by manufacturers and often out by months, use the engine code for a more accuracy parts search with the date as it can give a hint as to change over or parts being superseded, the engine IIRC was PSA Peugeot engine (XuD7 TE turbo 2nd iteration becau...

Re: Valuation help!
Put the Grille back to OEM spec, car enthusiasts of the 18yr old rag it like you stole it types would put stainless mesh in the grilles of their dads 216GTi to look cool, if there’s an original insert in the boot of spares I would return it back to OEM look so people are not stereotyping the car as ...

When I was a greasy spotting face little teen lemming walking back and forth secondary school I would pass this rover GTi on the way, it would catch my eye because as a family of enthusiasts (Uncle had 3500 Vitesse in gold, my dad had Sd3 Vanden Plas) it was barely 2 year old and what I thought a wo...

Re: Why are Rovers so undervalued ?
I know this is quite old but, I think it’s because Rover was never quite far away from negative publicity, it started to have suffer just like the tabloids are making celebrities suffer over the smallest of goings on that today standards now wouldn’t even make page 4 of the guardian newspaper. Re: Are they out there?
Yes - with tax due that long ago i'd be surprised but always a good idea to ask around on the forums - you could potentially get in touch with the DVLA and fill out a V888 form - think they can then send you any history they have on the vehicle https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/v888-reques...

Re: Are they out there?
with those kind of dates, my suspicion is they didn't make it through the scrappage scheme That’s my fear I remain hopeful though she maybe sat in someone’s garage. really was a good solid car that needed no rust fixing at that time in its life. Out of curiosity, if I was to say purchase one of the...

Are they out there?
Hey guys! So I’ve been reminiscing on the past good times and wondered if they’re still out there. The first is a Rover 213s dark blue, C175 NNO registration, last seen South east wales. If you The second and one and I’m keen to try and find it, is a Rover 216 EFI VandenPlas, it was light blue metal...
