Thanks fo the replies, my fault i wasn't expecting a speedo cable. Wish i had read your answer before i removed cable from gearbox end, still looking for the clip. When i find it can i attach to the cable first, before pushing cable into the box. Thanks again

Hi all, Trying to replace some blown bulbs in the instrument cluster. surround is off, 4 screws removed from dials but it only pulls out a few inches, not enough to dis connect wiring plugs. Am i missing something

i was originally trying to find a build date, but hit a wall when the vin number kept coming up as a 1981 car, not possible on a coupe. still trying to find the build date

door card is off. rod from handle to lock is my main problem. don't want to use a drift and hammer in case it won't go back together

1998 216 coupe. door lock button has jammed in the locked position, door only opens from inside handle, cable controlled, can't seem to release the rod from door handle to lock so i can get lock out to have good look at it. Any advice would be very helpful . thanks

Not sure if the odometer is controlled by the instrument cluster or by the take off point on the gearbox
