Haynes says no to using front crossmember :S so where do you jack at the front? Also anyone got torque number for crossmember bolts? Cheers

The crossmember is fine for jacking just try not to damage the paint.

It takes suspension loads and towing loads on some derivatives - it's strong enough.

I don't have the torque figs to hand but would that Mr Haynes would know. I do know that they're quite tight... :laughing2

Front cross member under the towing eye thingy is fine for jacking as said above.
