rover cabriolet roof

Post by churchybaby »

I have just bought a new roof for my car and was hoping to fit it this weekend but have come across a problem. Last night i took the head lining off and noticed a bracket that holds down the roof to the rear quarters has severely rusted (the one that is held by three 10mm bolts - rimmerbros part number DSG10002) but rimmerbros do not have this part in stock. Also the bracket to the rear, under the rear window (inside the boot, held down with Torx bolts) has also perished, and the bolts don't look too good either (I have no idea of this part number).

Where can I get these parts? is anyone breaking a cabriolet? I will try get some pictures

I've got a serviceable 'ear' for the drivers side.

It's been repaired with some bracing & riveting but does the job.

Also have a rear panel that's a little crusty but appears serviceable with a run over with a wire brush attachment.

Where are you based?

Hi 214cab. I'm on the Wirral near Liverpool, I see you're in Dorset so might be a bit too far to travel. Are they something you think can be posted or is that taking too much of a chance?
