Thinking of fitting one.

Got my low-rise standard one off as photo below.

That last bolt is clearly holding on a clamp for the ends of the rear brake cables, but it needs to be swapped for the centre console type.

Question is - Do I lose the handbrake when I take the clamp off, or is it perfectly safe? I'm usually parked on a slope...

just wind off the tightening bolt most of the way swap the bracket and tighten as required again.
