Performance exhausts

Post by Russnp »

Been searching the internet but cant find many performance exhausts.
Basically I would like something that isn't much louder than standard preferably twin box and a tail pipe that is not too big . It's for a coupe VVC
There are some single box ones anyone know if these are very loud.

Your best bet is probably to get one custom made by an exhaust fabricator. :)

Is that an expensive option? Got a performance one for my mgf and it made a massive difference but is a tad loud

Power flow will do a cat back for around £250 and there are plenty of franchises.

Can make it as loud or quiet as you like and it’s stainless so lifetime warranty.

Powerflow in St Albans made the system for my Micra 160SR as the OEM exhaust typically was NLA (not surprising for something they only made a few hundred of!).

It’s a good quality system, the finish is nice and the sound perfect-not too OTT for a daily driver but a nice rasp when pressing on.

I've gone for as spirex rear box in the end the centre section of mine looks quite new and it's the rear that's the restrictive part
Plus powerflow was 550 plus vat and the one I've ordered is 94 it's a single 3 inch tailpipe so looks should look fairly standard.
About 15 years ago I fitted the xpower rear box to a zr 160 and it made quite a difference to performance.
The VVC engines don't seem to like restrictive exhausts
