214 sometimes jerky when accelerating -clutch?
Hi there , I have just come back from uni and have decided to get the clutch done on my 35,000 miles 214. The bite is very high and there is a slight squeal when coming off the clutch when engaging the next gear or one below. Although no real signs of it slipping.
However tonight I noticed a jerky/ jumping sensation when accelerating , sometimes does , sometimes it doesn't , typically 2000 rpm or so. It does go if you continue to accelerate and doesn't do it at a constant speed.
Any ideas , I will be taking it in next week.
Also any suggestions of places to get it done in Leicester?

I had this problem and it was the dizzy cap and or the rotor arm. I cant be more specific as i changed them both together.

Start by cleaning inside the throttle body with petrol/white spirit/carb cleaner.
Sometimes the throttle body can warp - they're made of plastic - in that case you have to replace them.
