Power Steering Leak

Post by Paul_1978_yorks »

My 214 is leaking around the power steering reservoir from the pipes. I know this is a common problem and I had it on one of my SEi‘s years ago. The garage basically renewed all the jubilee clips.

I want to do the same, renew the clips and clean it all up. Before I embark on what is hopefully a simple job, I wondered if anyone had any tips?

Cheers Craig. Would it be easy to move the reservoir out of the way without disconnecting the pipes.

Also, do you know what size the jubilee clips are?

To be honest, I’d only ever do when taking the entire ps system off the car as in situe you’ll never really get to all the bits. Can’t remember the jubilee size off top of my head I’m afraid.

Hi,
I just tightened the clips a bit that sorted it, can the reservoir be slid out of its bracket to make access easier?

Hi, yes all cleaned up now. New clips on order - should all be sorted shortly :)
