Spring Meet/Day Out

Post by itcaptainslow »

Would anyone be interested if I were to organise a meet in May time at either Caffeine & Machine (near Stratford) or the Great British Car Journey (Ambergate in the Peak District)?

I’d aim for a Saturday or Sunday so we could hopefully make the most of it!

Please indicate below your preference of location (if any)!

Details of each venue;

Great British Car Journey

Caffeine & Machine

I’ve not been to the GBCJ, but C&M are a petrolhead hangout with a varied range of hot/cold foods & drinks, a big car park, lovely rounds surrounding the location and usually a smorgasbord of interesting cars turning up. If someone could comment on the GBCJ…? :)

Stratford would be better for me, but also dependant on day as lots of my kids play football!

Either location is good for me to come along.

Sounds good to me! Great British Car Journey is closer for me (just over an hour) - the other venue is well over 2 hours.

I am unavailable the weekend of 14/15 May but every other weekend should be OK!

I would be interested if the dates work for me. If it’s Derbyshire, I might combine it with a few days away.

This retirement lark isn’t easy.......it’s gets very complicated trying to fit everything in. 😁😇

C&M run a ticketing system and charge to get on site at weekends due to popularity. See - https://caffeineandmachine.com/weekend- ... r-parking/

It's a tenner for a booked ticket or a fiver at the door, if there are spaces left.

TGBCJ is a good half-day out :cool
I like Twin Cams, Single Cams, Turbos and 5-cam VVCs :cool
