Today, 11th October 1989, the R8 Rover 200 was launched.



This full 90 second version of "The Graduate " launch advert was only shown once on ITV, in the commercial break during Coronation Street that evening, due to cost. The usual ad shown was still long at 60 seconds.

That also makes it 3 years since we celebrated the R8's 30th (doesn't time fly?) at Lucknam Park, where the R8 was shown to the world's press.
