Hi everyone. Just something to share. Starter motors for R8 220/420 appear to be NLA. Rimmers, my last hope, didn’t have the right one. As the motor span but the gear didn’t engage, the issue was the solenoid.

I managed to find this on eBay which matches the Rover solenoid on my starter.

Described as being “12v Starter Solenoid for Landrover 88/109 110/127 Defender Discovery Range” so must be same unit. Cheers
