Rover 200 R3 Central Console Connectors

Post by Topcat Tomcat »

Oh dear, I've done it again! :blushing Every time I take things apart, I never take enough photos to facilitate a quick and easy reassemble!

1) An overall view. I know which are the radio and cigar lighter connectors, but rest are a mystery.

2) This appears to be the same as the one under the passenger seat for the airbag.

3) As for number 2

5)

If any of you clever people out there can identify them and suggest where they go, I will be most grateful!

As for this (relay?), I'm completely stumped. It clearly attaches to something using the two screws, but where?!!!!

1), 2), 3) Two red connectors are within yellow sleeves. Everything within yellow sleeves belongs to airbags. These 2 connectors belong to passanger airbag. Do you have it? If not they are left alone.

4) This is the connector which goes into radio which does not have display integrated within, but uses clock/radio as display.

5) This is earth header. Does not connect to anything, just leave it alone

6) This is diagnostic socket. Usualy there is metal slot within which you can wedge that connecfor

For the relay, that is front fogs relay and needs to be attached furthe inside cavity behined centre console. The best picture I have now is this one:

Ha you’re not alone.
I have the same issue when I take anything apart. I now have a pile of plastic pots that I have to label with each bolt/nut/screw I take off. Plus copious amounts of masking tape to ID wires, plugs and sockets. Plus dozens of pictures most of which then get deleted . :S
I’m lost if I don’t do this

Blimey, that was quick and thank you so much!

Hopefully I'll be able to have a look tomorrow morning, although it's a rather hectic week for me unfortunately.

Very sensible. I must remember to do that when I'm dismantling things again!!!

Hi Roverlike,

I've had a look and it all makes sense. All I have to do is find the one switch that I've somehow managed to misplace. I don't get any better!

Once again, thank you for your help!
