Gauge Holders

Post by Cemo »

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you know where I can get a pillar mounted gauge holder for my 214. It can have 2 or 3 gauge holders but I want it on the windscreen pillar not on/in the dash.

Cheer s :D

Was there a particlur reason for not wanting the gauges on the dash?

I made a cowl out of the top left bit of a scrap instrument panel surround and cut a bit of ali plate to fit.

Skatie got a single gauge holder from halfrauds which I modified to fit the pillar. I'll see if I can dig out a photo of it tonight. They also do 2 and 3 gauge holders too.

Nah, just don't wanna screw up my dash with holes or anything like that. I know you can get the sticky stand things but I'd wanna see one in place first so I know they fit ok.

It would be great if you two (and others) could show me some pics of your work :D

That looks quite nice mate but its something I don't wanna do, even though its probably easy to put back and besides, thats the vent I use to put my Ambi-Pure on :*laughs*:

Nice steering wheel btw, its the same as mine although my one has a chrome ring around the horn button.

Thats not actually too bad, just not keen on the gap it leaves but I'm sure a bit of extra modding could sort that out. Where did you get that from (Halfords?) and what's it for. Looking for a double version.

There actually wasn't a gap when I installed it but the glue has come unglued so there is a little gap. It isn't really noticable when you are sat in the car (the photo makes it look a lot worse than it is).
It was from halfords, as the missus wanted a patterned plastic one rather than a smooth one or carbon effect one. The idea was to spray it the same colour as the A pillar trim but it doesn't look bad as it is so I've not bothered.
2 and 3 gauge mounts are available, mine is just a boost gauge on the missus turbo. The one in the pic is modded by heating and bending it so that it fits the pillar trim more closely.
