Sound Dampening: On or Off?

Post by Clawjaw »

the stuff under the bonnet.... Is there any real need for it?

I have mine hanging down in one place, right ontop of my induction kit. I thought about a lil double sided tape to keep it up but if theres no reason for it can i take it off, s it recommended? :?

Depends if you want to hear the noise from the engine bay or not.

I think i would cus it does roar pretty load with the induction kit on. So if it wont cause probs ill take it and chuck it away cus to be honest, if i touch it too hard it flakes and crumbles :o

My bonnet never had that stuff on when I bought it and the car is fine. Must agree though, does help amplify the induction roar so I guess its an added bonus :p

i think you might be right there. I put mine back on, well i went down the scrappy and got a better condition one becasue the heat coming through the hood was stupid. Its better now its back on.
