should my k reg 220 gti turbo have a keyfob or it work from the door locks?

changed the abttery today an the stupid thuing went off

It should have a key fob, well mine does. Does the interior light have a bulge in it?

Actually just been and checked and mine was an optional extra on the specification so yours may not have it.

It would be infra-red if it was, which is where the bulge in the interior light comes into it. If there isn't one there then your car doesn't have a fob.
