Discovered that the Tourer's radiator has a leak. No problem, thinks I, lots on fleabay and websites......
Well, yes there are but none like the one in the car apparently....
Its a 1996 420 GSI Tourer-i.e. its an "old shape", but made when the "new shapes" were being sold. It uses a different rad to the pre 1995 2 litres( Completely different size) but it isnt the same as the ones in the bubble shapes. (Top hose outlet in the wrong place.)

I thought I had found the right one on a Rad website, all dimensions the same, and was just about to order it when I asked the guy if it had a hole in for the fan sensor-no it doesnt!

So I have been unable to track the right one down. Other than taking the old one out and getting it recored, anyone got any ideas where else I could try?

I was able to source a rad for my very old R8 via Euro Car Parts. They only sell good quality Valeo or Nissens units. They are all new and no exchange required. Decent prices too.

Certainly worth a punt!
