Rover brake problem

Post by af3ll »

Hello all,
First I'd like to say hello and thanks for having a site dedicated to these cars. I will be purchasing a 414 soon for 200 pounds. There's a couple things wrong with it but what do you expect for that price. The car will jerk to the right when you hit the brakes when the car is going over 50 mph. I was wondering have any of you seen this problem and if not what could the problem be? Thanks,
Josh

If the car has rear disc brakes then check to see if one side is seized (the rear discs quite often seize). Otherwise check the pads all round and check that none of the calipers are seized or none of the rear cylinders (if drums are fitted) are leaking brake fluid.
