Somerset meetings

Post by Red Icon »

Hi I live in somerset and due to a mad dog that does not like any one, we can only go to local shows, unless our next door nieghbour is home to let the dog out. So how about doing some shows down here next year or when ever.

Sounds like a good plan.

If you let me know which ones you reckon would be good for next year then I will be able to place them in the events calendar

Would you be happy being the point of contact for organising, etc?

I am going to a few local ones they include Taunton race course on the 15th July, Newton Abbot on the 17th June and Exeter race course on the 29th July, I will check these out and let you Know for next Year. These shows are for performance and modified cars, but I expect they will except our cars as well, or you could team up with my club the Somerset and District car club.

:?:  :*laughs*:

I'd be up for this :cool

I went to the South West Motor Show last year - there was a Rover stand there which had a minted 220GSi Turbo. The rest of the show was a bit gash though - all Saxos and Corsas with tonnes of plastic fantastic stuck all over them. :blink

There were a few nice motors there tho, the obligatory Escort Cossies with about 2Ks worth of chrome and silicon in the bays! Oh and a MK2 Escort with a BIG power YB under the bonnet and a twin turbo V6 RWD MK1 Fiesta! :o but it wasnt finished.

The thing i remember the most though was the yellow Judge Dredd Land Rover thing with about 25 subs crammed into the back of it - stuck my head in while they were blaring out some Limp Bizkit, couldnt hear much for the reat of the day! (still not as loud as Motorhead at the Plymouth Pavillions tho!)

Let me know if you get anything arranged :)
