As previously trailed in http://www.rover200.org.uk/forums/viewt ... f=1&t=3319 and discussed at the AGM, I've been in to see John Bishop who is "Senior Co-Ordinator for Clubs Groups and Rallies" at the Heritage Centre.

He was excited to discuss us using their 'Autumn Classic' event for (one of) our 25th Birthday celebrations.

We'll be able to use a separate and segregated parking area in front of the museum.

He says that by getting in early, they'll be able to use our presence in their promotion of the event, which in turn should help us with attendance.

Also, he's going to put me in touch with their Archivist to discuss the opportunity of getting the engineering, sale & marketing and manufacturing team members back together to record their memories of a unique time in the history of Rover Group, as a linked event.

We said that we would look at running next years AGM on the same day to potentially boost involvement.

It would be useful to get an early estimate of numbers , so pls post on this thread if you think you'll be attending.

i'll be a maybe for this I go into semi retirement on 1st august so unless I'm still tying things up should be good to go.

Tom Pinney is our man on the inside - but I did talk to them at the NEC Classic Car Show and they're interested.

I've checked and that's free I the diary so pencil me in!

Count me in.
If I can encourage other family members to come along, we could even manage three cars
