Windscreen Wipers Screenwash Question

When you activate the front screenwash should the wipers work automatically?
Rover 220 GTi Turbo.

mine wipe 3 times for a quick pull of the stalk and 4 times for a slightly longer pull.

Depends on the model year. Pre 94MY cars don't have autowipe, its only 94MY-> cars that have that feature.

My cab does not have autowipe

Thankfully.

It dramatically reduces the life of the wipers and the windscreen.

Hi, my 214 GSi K plate does not have wash wipe. Just a wash. Wipe is manual after a squirt! Dave

Not really. The maestro has wash/wipe function even in 1983!

Oh well.....at least with the early 200's.....control was given back to the driver!

I've developed a sense of paranoia about vehicles thinking for me.
