Hi guys, been a while since I posted here last and with the prospect of selling the car looming its only right of give a bit of an update on my GTi

Here it is 4 years ago when i first got, nice clean engine bay, 4x4 suspension and honda hub caps ftw!






Added some turbo alloys and changed the tango factor



Then dropped it on some Gmax springs and shocks





A ZS red steering wheel helped the interior blend in and a induction kit/janspeed backbox gave it a nice soundtrack










Followed last year by some much needed colour coding; front/rear bumpers, smooth number plate plinth and a roversport grille. Coupeled with Ti/ZS brake upgrade the car was pretty much exactly like I'd always wanted it.









Its been an awesome car to own and I love the retro factor, looks and comments it gets Honda engine with Rover looks in a completely rust proofed body, it has the ability to be around for a long time....

Really nice.

I've got a similar vintage Flame Red 3-dr which I'm putting a bit of effort into. I'm on the lookout for some colour-coded bumpers as you've done. They do make for a lighter-looking car.

How did you keep your wheel arches so sound?

Crepello, the car was rust proofed and waxoyled when new so its got copious amounts of sticky wax on the inside of all the panels, meaning moisture cant linger and rust cant form. Really was so worth while as all the panels are still perfect and a major factor in making me want to keep it, I mean finding a similar aged R8 in a similar condition must be near impossible.

mines rust free too and only got 40,000 on the clock

its only a 414sli though :P
