Hi all,
I have recently purchased a 1998 214si. Up until last week everthing was ok,but now have problems. The stereo has stopped working aswell as the rear fog lights,sunroof and rear wipers. Anybody have any idea what the problem is and how to fix. The fuses I have checked and they are all fine.

1998, so it's a bubble and not a wedge one?
Check the electrical harness which goes (in a rubber "tube") into the boot door.

Hi yes its a bubble shape. Will check,would a problem there effect sunroof stereo??

if it is that bit of wiring it good cause those problems. people have various issues when those wires get chaffed.

I checked the harness, the wires were in a shocking state,repaired them but still no luck.

i would check the condition of the earths next as they can cause similar problems.

going to have a proper look at the weekend.Remove the centre console and check. Not really looking forward to that.
