Door Handles

Post by carpy »

Bit of a dilemma here and a dose of hard luck. About 2 weeks ago the drivers outside door handle on my cabby went a bit stiff then really loose almost immediately and wouldn't open the door. Not worry I thought I'll go in through the passenger side and in my own time take the door card off and have a look. Anyhow, yesterday the same thing happened to the passenger side, fortunately the drivers side window was open so I could still open the car. I took the door card off and couldn't see anything amiss but then again I don't know what I'm looking for. I now have a car I can't open from the outside so I have to leave a window partially open and covered with a bin bag when it's parked up.
So basically it's a help, how do I fix it.
Cheers

ive had my drivers door handle break twice now. when you look from behind nothing does look to wrong but it has probably snapped one of the two lever arms like mine did. its a fairly common problem and there a right pain to change.

depends which rover you have as to whether you can get chrome handles or not.
