The first stage of my project was to repair as much as possible and replace some parts.

Replaced parts
the suspension was replaced by Lip gas shocks and Eibach springs,
the system of the driver's door window was replaced,
alternator,
return of the original muffler,
new rims and tires

Repaired parts
driver's seat has been repaired,
full body repaired and new paint job

and other things i don't remember right now

Next step, brakes upgrade.

Nice pictures, keep up the good work! It's nice to welcome a fellow enthusiast from abroad, you seem to be able to source replacement parts easily?

Some parts were hard to get, at least for a fair price. Both bumpers have been restored and the cover of the mirror also. The window lifter and the finishers for front bumper and side panel came form a coupe that went for scrap.
Otherwise would have to pay 500 € per bumpers, 600€ for the lifter and the other pieces would be dificult to find.

Even so I ended up taking damage at this stage. Despite the exterior work has been with a flawless appearance, I ended up with some damaged parts. Also presented three complaints, but they repaired one thing and ruin another.
I ended up with broken hockey sticks and several clips, turn signals bolted to the body, windscreen popped and various parts glued to the body. Also found 74 defects in the paint job.

Some of the damaged parts are very hard to find in Portugal.

If your really stuck for part's let us know here at the club and we will try to help you.

We have a pay pal facility for joining the club and paying membership fee's, this could be used for shipping cost out to Portugal. If the cost isn't prohibitive of course.

Brave man to take on that job.

You've made a great job of it too :clapping

As Mr TB says, this is usually a good source of parts. What's still on your shopping list?
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams...and now Turbos

Still on my shopping list:
Casing-front door both sides
Casing-quarter trim both sides
Parcel shelf-rear end trim
hockey sticks
Lamp assembly-direction indicator both sides
maybe new seats

but frist on my to-do list:
upgrade front brakes from 262mm to 282mm (with MG ZR 1.8 160 discs and Rover 620 Ti calipers)
trying to find coilovers for a good price ( currently i have a progressive eibach pro kit springs)

I forgot one item on my to-do list:
able to reduce consumption. The average of my coupe is 12l / 100km and what I have seen for this engine is 8l / 100km
