Are they 185/55 15?

I use Event Tyres. Highly recommended - buy online and they come to your house.

I usually get a mid range. Think I got Toyo tyres last time, no problems.

If money permits then premium range are best.

What do you want from the tyres

And what is the budget?

Also are you prepared to swap to 195/50/15 tyres. They are usually a reasonable amount cheaper. They are slightly wider, and slightly lower profile.

Have a look on Camskill.co.uk too if you are happy to do mail order.

First off I will declare the fact that I work for Michelin Tyres.

Good questions here the first one usually answered by premium tyres if you have the money. But maybe you would expect me to say that.

And no I can't get cheap tyres. I bought 4 Michelin CrossClimates for my 214SEI from Blackcircles.

Actually buying them and having a full service including a cambelt change cost more than the car but you pay your money and make your choice. :cool

Using 195/50s instead of 185/55s is a good call as they're more widely used and therefore cheaper.

Turbos used 195/50 to differentiate them from the 2.0 N/A. We couldn't afford to do lockstops for the steering rack to allow wider 16" wheels at the time. MG Rover did it later though.

I bought a set of 195/50 Uniroyal Rainsport3s and am very happy with them.
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams...and now Turbos
