So after a severe dent to my wallet here we have our fully rebuilt head.
Disassembly
decoke, and recut valves
recut valve liners
replaced stem seal
Valve liners
3 snapped bolts removed from exhaust side
8thou
skim
Soda blast to get rid of build up and rogue sealant.
Replacement hydraulic tappets (i had some)
and voila, ready to fit.

Exhaust side

Inlet side

old stem seals, well past their date

tappets fitted

3 replaced bolts

Now on to refurbing the injector rail and inlet manifold.

Re: New disciple
Inlet and fuel rail refurbishment. pt1
Looks to grubby to be put back on to the shiny head now so......here we go again

Disassembly shows rust proofing over everything
Off to the pressure washer you go

Think we'll replace these o-rings as well, they look like they have been there since 91
(remember there was no gasket here either
)

Now to disassemble the fuel rail.

Injectors out with o-rings that have probably been there since 91 as well, they felt more like washers than stretchy rubber.

More rust proofing measures

Carb cleaned ready to swap o-rings

all new

Not part of the kit but i'll replace the fuel regulator one as well

Will continue when the pressure washer (dishwasher) is finished.
