In short, you have to take the binnacle out and strip it down.

Lockwood used to make dial faces for several Rover models, so that may be worth searching for if you don't want to use a whole instrument pack from a late Rover 45 or MG ZS.

Thanks for reply, Rover 45 has a single digital readout my 414 has 2 analogue readouts, so I don't think they are interchangeable.
